Blissfully round and beautiful, this Caillou Châteauneuf shares deep, rich aromas of black pepper and cedar smoke, opening to ripe blackberries, grilled plums and spice.
Wine Advocate The seductive, opulent, even corpulent 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape has a somewhat deceiving medium ruby color but a lot more flavor and intensity than the color suggests. Round, luscious sweet cherry and berry flavors intermixed with spice and earth are present in this full-bodied, voluptuously textured wine. It is difficult to resist and totally captivating.
