Color: Light golden straw.

Aroma: Pear, honeydew melon and vanilla. The spices and oak came through balanced and delicately with the fruit.

Taste: A rich mouthfeel, crisp yet velvet like cream. Clean, well-balanced taste gives a good fruit to oak to acid blend. Medium finish and a persisting long aftertaste.

Wine Advocate Reminiscent of a premier cru from Chassagne-Montrachet, the Burgundian-styled 2005 Chardonnay Fournier Vineyard possesses a more smoky hazelnut-scented and flavored personality. It should drink well for 4-5 years. Score: 91. —Robert Parker, December 2006.
