The 2005 Merlot is approachable and delicious, and I’m particularly pleased with the balance of ripe fruit and soft tannins in this wine. It is full of blackberry and boysenberry flavors, followed by a satisfying finish. This wine is well suited to a variety of foods – I’ve enjoyed it with everything from chicken to steak.
