Made from 100% Tempranillo vinified in stainless steel and
then aged in 80% French and 20% American oak for 12 months. This is one of the most concentrated and balanced Tempranillo based wines we have ever tasted.

Wine Advocate The 2003 Requiem, a 100% Tempranillo which spent 13 months in French and American oak, reflects the hot conditions of 2003 but, in this case, they seem to have been handled without difficulty. The nose offers up slightly baked kirsch and spice box aromas, and is followed by a moderately tannic palate offering concentrated red fruits with plenty of depth. Give this big wine an additional 2-4 years in the cellar and drink it over the next decade. Score: 90. —Jay Miller, February 2007.
