The family of Dominique and Michel BERNARD has been established in Orange since the 17th century. “Mesnagers” (tenant farmer) until the French Revolution (1789), the family were able to purchase their first vineyard in the public sale of National Landed Properties (La Vente de Biens Nationaux) in 1794. That very vineyard remains under family control to this day.
